About Dr. Denisa Muraru

Dr. Denisa Muraru is a cardiologist, currently working as a researcher and echocardiographer at the University of Padua (Italy). She graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine in Bucharest (Romania). In 2011, she moved to the University of Padua (Italy) in order to perform clinical research in the field of 3D echocardiography and received the PhD degree in 2013. She has co-authored 85 papers, 40 textbook chapters and more than 160 abstracts. She has been co-author and reviewer for several EACVI recommendation papers. She is a regular invited speaker at the ESC Congress, EuroEcho Imaging Congress and EACVI Teaching Courses, and is co-Director of several courses and scientific meetings on 3D echocardiography organized by the University of Padua. She is member of Editorial Board of European Journal – Cardiovascular Imaging and Journal of American Society of Echocardiography. She has been elected Councilor in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) Board 2016-2018 and chairs the EACVI Education Committee.
