Dr. Luigi P. Badano, MD, PhD, FESC, FACC, Hon. FASE is a highly accomplished and recognized figure in the field of cardiovascular medicine. He currently serves as a Full Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Milano Bicocca in Milan, Italy, and as the Director of the Multimodality Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory at the Istituto Auxologico Italiano, IRCCS, also in Milan. His clinical interests lie in native and prosthetic valvular heart disease and right ventricular and atrial function. His research focuses on advanced echocardiographic techniques, including three-dimensional and deformation imaging echocardiography, as well as cardiac mechanics and the application of artificial intelligence to cardiovascular imaging. Dr. Badano is an active member of numerous prestigious professional societies, including the Italian Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), the American College of Cardiology (ACC), and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He also holds the distinction of being an Honorary Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (Hon. FASE), the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, and the British Society of Echocardiography. He served as the President of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) from 2010 to 2012. Dr. Badano is a regular invited speaker at major international cardiology meetings and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications (over 340) and several books (9) on echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging. His significant contributions to the field were recognized in 2013 when he was awarded the European Society of Cardiology Silver Medal. He is also an honorary member of the Hungarian, Romanian, and Korean Societies of Cardiology.

Dr. Hani Mahmoud-Elsayed is a highly accomplished Consultant Cardiologist and the Director of the Echocardiography Lab at the Aswan Heart Centre, Magdi Yacoub Foundation in Aswan, Egypt. He holds an MBBCh (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), an MSc degree in Cardiology, and an MD degree in Cardiology from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt (2019). He is Board certified by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) in the USA (July 2012) and has achieved EACVI CMR Level III accreditation. Dr. Mahmoud-Elsayed is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) (2019). He previously served as an Ambassador for the European Association of Cardio-Vascular Imaging (EACVI/HIT) in Saudi Arabia (2014-2016) and has been a committee member of the EACVI/HIT and EACVI/Education Committee for several terms. He has extensive training in advanced echocardiography techniques, including Three-Dimensional Echocardiography, which he pursued with Prof. Dr. Navin Nanda at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA (2013). He also completed fellowship training at the Echocardiography Lab, Royal Brompton Hospital, London, and at the Cardiac Imaging department (Echo & CMR) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK. His main interests lie in advanced echocardiography, 3D-TTE, 3D-TOE, and Interventional TOE during structural cardiac interventions. He is actively engaged in research, publication, and peer-review activities, contributing to esteemed journals and congresses in the field of cardiovascular imaging. He is also an Associate Editor for The Egyptian Heart Journal and a reviewer for numerous international journals. Dr. Mahmoud-Elsayed is also the Medical Director of the Cardiac Investigation Center (CIC) in Cairo, Egypt, which offers online and onsite courses in advanced echocardiography. He is recognized as a leading expert in 3D Echocardiography and interventional TEE in the Middle East and North Africa region and is involved in various educational projects and expert advisory roles.

Dr. Hisham Dokainish is a highly accomplished cardiologist with extensive experience in echocardiography and non-invasive cardiology. He holds the prestigious titles of M.D. (Doctor of Medicine), FRCPC (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada), FASE (Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography), and FACC (Fellow of the American College of Cardiology). Born and educated in Ontario, Canada, Dr. Dokainish pursued an academic career in Cardiology and Echocardiography at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, starting in 2002. Currently, he holds the position of Professor (Full) at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, within the Division of Cardiology. His previous roles include:

Fadi Bitar, MD, PhD, FESC, FACC, Hon. FASE is a distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, and Professor of Biochemistry at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He holds several key leadership positions, including Director of the Children's Heart Center and Co-Director of the Congenital Heart Disease Genetics Program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). He also serves as the Associate Dean for External Medical Affairs at AUB. Dr. Bitar is the Founding Director of the Children's Heart Center (CHC) at AUBMC, established in 1995, and the founder of the Children's Cardiac Registry Center in Lebanon. He is also the Co-Founder of the Brave Heart Fund, a charitable organization supporting children with congenital heart disease. He has held the position of Ex-Associate Dean for External Medical Affairs at AUB and is the Ex-President of the Pan Arab Congenital Heart Disease Association and the current President of the Beirut Global Foundation for CHD. Dr. Bitar is internationally recognized as a leading pediatric cardiologist in Lebanon, the region, and globally. The AD Scientific Index 2022 ranked him as the top scientist in Lebanon, second in Asia, and seventeenth worldwide in the field of Pediatric Cardiology. His major contributions include the successful establishment of educational and clinical programs that have significantly improved the care of children with congenital heart disease. He has introduced innovative modalities and techniques for treating heart diseases, including procedures performed for the first time globally. Dr. Bitar has also made significant discoveries regarding the genetic causes of CHD. He has published over 200 articles, book chapters, and abstracts and has been awarded more than 30 national and international research grants. Dr. Bitar is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Rotary International and the Humanitarian Recognition Award by Rotary International Clubs and Gift of Life Project in the USA. He also received the honorary title "Name in Science" and the medal "For Contribution to World Science" from the Academic Union of Oxford and the Club of Rectors of Europe. His clinical focus lies in Interventional Pediatric Cardiology and Echocardiography, and his research interests include the study of factors contributing to successful CHD programs in developing countries, the genetics and molecular basis of CHD, and the development of an animal model for chronic hypoxia mimicking cyanotic CHD.

Dr. Denisa Muraru is a highly accomplished cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging, particularly echocardiography. She holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milano-Bicocca and works as a Cardiologist and Echocardiographer at the Integrated Cardiovascular Imaging Center of Istituto Auxologico Italiano, IRCCS, in Milan, Italy. She also heads the Heart Valve Clinic at San Luca Hospital in Milan. Dr. Muraru graduated from the University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, and obtained her PhD degree from the University of Padua, Italy, in 2013. Her primary research interests include valve disease, right heart imaging, cardiomyopathies, and advanced echocardiographic techniques like 3D echo and 2D/3D strain. She is an internationally recognized expert in her field, having co-authored over 200 papers and 70 book chapters. Dr. Muraru is a regular invited speaker at major international cardiology conferences such as the ESC Congress and EuroEcho Imaging Congress. She also serves as the Vice-President for Echocardiography in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) Board for 2022-2024 and is the Deputy Chair of the EACVI Web & Communication Committee and Co-Chair of the EACVI 2023 Scientific Program Committee. Dr. Muraru is actively involved in the editorial boards of prestigious journals like the European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Imaging (EHJCVI) and the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE).
Cardiologist
Dr. Julia Grapsa is a distinguished consultant cardiologist and academic leader specializing in cardiovascular imaging and valvular heart disease. Since March 2020, she has been serving as a Consultant Cardiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London, where she leads the imaging team for tricuspid services. She also holds the position of Associate Professor in Cardiology at King's College London127.
Dr. Grapsa graduated from the Medical School of Ioannina, Greece, and completed her postgraduate training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Royal Brompton Hospital in London. She earned her PhD in idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension and multimodality imaging in 201018.
Leadership Roles: Dr. Grapsa was the founding Editor-in-Chief of JACC Case Reports under the American College of Cardiology, where she initiated programs like the Peer Review Mentoring Program. She currently serves as a Senior Editor for EHJ-IMP under ESC journals17.
Pioneering Positions: She was one of the first female cardiologists at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and later led the echocardiography department at Royal London Hospital and Kingston Hospital18.
Research Contributions: Her research interests include mitral valve prolapse, mitral annular disjunction, tricuspid valve, and right heart remodeling. She has authored British guidelines for echocardiography in pulmonary hypertension and contributed to European and American position papers12.

Dr. Savvas Loizos is a highly qualified cardiologist holding both an MD and a PhD. He is a Consultant Cardiologist at Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece, with a special interest in cardiovascular multi-modality imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT. He also holds a position as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Imaging at Barts Heart Center in London, United Kingdom. Previously, he worked as a perioperative and critical care echocardiography imaging fellow at Royal Brompton Hospital and as an imaging fellow at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College NHS Trust in London. Dr. Loizos completed his PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on imaging and vascular surgery, specifically on carotid atherosclerotic disease. He also holds a Master's degree with distinction in peripheral vascular ultrasound from Imperial College London. He is actively involved in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and serves as an EACVI Ambassador for the young community (HIT). His main interests include echocardiography, perioperative imaging, CMR, and CT.

Dr. Ziad Bulbul, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. 1 He also serves as the Director of the Pediatric Cardiology fellowship training program and the Echocardiography Laboratory at AUB. 2 His research interests and publications focus on various aspects of congenital heart disease, including diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes, particularly in the developing world. He is actively involved in research and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Hatem Soliman Aboumarie is a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care at Harefield Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Clinical Group, Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK. He also holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Cardiovascular Sciences and Medicine, King's College London, and is the Clinical Lead for Advanced Critical Care Practitioners at Harefield Hospital. He has extensive training in Critical Care Medicine and obtained an MSc in Critical Care Echocardiography from Alexandria University (Egypt). He further specialized in advanced Cardiothoracic Intensive Care and Mechanical Circulatory Support at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. Dr. Soliman holds memberships and certifications including Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK), Certification of special competence in Adult Echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography (USA), Diploma in Cardiology (London), and European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine (Brussels). He also holds a Diploma in Clinical Education with Merit from Edinburgh Medical School. He is actively involved in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) of the European Society of Cardiology, serving on multiple committees and as Deputy Chair of the Heart Imagers of Tomorrow Committee. He is also a member of the ICU Subcommittee of the European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (EACTAIC).
