Dr. Savvas Loizos is a highly qualified cardiologist holding both an MD and a PhD. He is a Consultant Cardiologist at Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece, with a special interest in cardiovascular multi-modality imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT.

He also holds a position as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Imaging at Barts Heart Center in London, United Kingdom. Previously, he worked as a perioperative and critical care echocardiography imaging fellow at Royal Brompton Hospital and as an imaging fellow at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College NHS Trust in London.

Dr. Loizos completed his PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on imaging and vascular surgery, specifically on carotid atherosclerotic disease. He also holds a Master's degree with distinction in peripheral vascular ultrasound from Imperial College London.

He is actively involved in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and serves as an EACVI Ambassador for the young community (HIT). His main interests include echocardiography, perioperative imaging, CMR, and CT.
